Review: Sunshine (2007)

Sending a team of astronauts to reignite the dying sun seems incredibly over the top in way of a solution, not to mention unrealistic, but Sunshine is excellent and quite possibly Danny Boyle’s finest film to date.

Marketed as an action-horror (on the back of the success of 28 Days Later), this is more a psychological thriller than anything else and thrill it certainly does. The soundtrack is amazing: John Murphy’s The Surface of the Sun track actually makes my balls tingle. And the final scenes are breathtaking.
